SHUTDOWN SPLASHSCREEN

n900 splashscreens.rar

put the png image you want to use in:
/usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/hildon
and rename it 'startup_nokia_logo'
then reboot phone

make a backup of the original file from that location first
and keep it safe incase you ever want the original back

CHANGE STATUS AREA BATTERY ICON COLOUR



new battery icons.rar
just unzip the download from above and put the 8 png files into:
/usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/hildon
and reboot phone.
there already renamed this time
but make a safe backup of the originals for yourself
before overwriting any of these files

CHANGE OFFLINE/ONLINE NOTIFICATION SOUNDS

when phone first loads and connects, or when switching to online mode, the phone plays a quiet beep sound,
i changed that to 'welcome - to the real world' (morpheous from the matrix)

and a new offline sound, plays when going offline, 'command functions are offline' (from star trek i think!)

download and unzip from the link below:
offline sounds.rar
and put the 2 files into:
/usr/share/sounds
and reboot phone

make backups of your original files before overwriting with these

to change the 'beep' that sounds when app manager has finished installing, to 'beep beep installation complete'

RENAMING MENU ITEMS

go to /usr/share/applications/hildon/
change the text after 'Name=' to what ever you want
i was hoping to remove the text from the menu but if i delete the name and leave it blank it always shows 'Project-Id-Versio' instead of showing no text, cant seem to figure that one out, but im just a maemo-n00b! hoping someone else can find a solution to totally removing the text from the first menu screen

Change your camera sounds

In winscp, look for /usr/share/sounds

In that folder you will find camera_snd_title_1, camera_snd_title_2, camera_snd_title_3.
1 is the cameras shutter sound, 2 is the video recording sound and 3 is the camera focus sound

Name your new .wav file the same name as the file you wish to change, then just drag and drop your new file from the desktop into the sounds folder and confirm to replace

Now exit WinSCP and your done

Wenn man bedenkt, wie man Linux "Modden" kann, dann geht da noch einiges

du meinst bei "REORDER STATUS ICONS" oder?

Reordner bedeutet übersetzt soviel wie Sortierung oder Reihenfolge ändern.

Hmm... kriege das gerade nicht ganz so gebacken, evtl kann mir ja jemand kurz per pn erklären oder icq oder so, meine Linux kenntnisse sind noch ganz schlecht... root access brauche ich aber nicht dafür, oder? oO

Geht das auch mit dem Startnokia Logo? Nicht das Bootvideo, das hab ich schon geändert. Jetzt kommt beim Einschalten halt noch das Nokia Logo, beim Ausschalten kommt LINUX mit dem Pinguin.
Das hätte ich aber gern auch beim einschalten... Wo finde ich das?

Sicherlich kann man das ändern, allerdings habe ich bisher auch noch nichts gefunden.

 

Hmm in nem anderen Forum meinte grad einer das seinen Infos nach das Startlogo auf einem "nicht" löschbaren Rom im Gerät liegt, was wohl sehr schade wäre :(

 

habe eben gerade noch ein paar in frage kommende png´s ausgetauscht, allerdings passiert da nichts mit dem bootlogo.

Ich denke das dieses Bild Nokia im bootloader hinterlegt ist. Mal sehen wie man da ran kommt

 

Hi Leute... Wollt grad die Sounds mit GPE file manager nach usr/share/sounds verschieben, bekommen aber immer "zugriff verweigert" Gibts da einen Filemanager, mit dem das möglich ist? weil mit dem Terminal bekomm ich das nicht gebacken.... da hab ich zu wenig linux erfahrung....

 

Hast du @ Home WLan? Dann könntest es per SSH Probieren, dir fehlen wohl mit dem GPE die Root-rechte, ein alternativer File Manager ist mir bisher nicht bekannt...

Ja hab ich! Aber weißt was? Ich hab das jetz mitn Terminal hingekriegt! Ha! Wieder was gelernt. Hoffentlich vergess ichs nicht wieder bis zum nächstenmal. Hab jetz die Sounds und shut down bilder geändert. Das einzige was nicht funzt, ist der Shutdown TON. Da wird gar nix abgespielt...
